Soccer Gear Drives & Collection
Would your organization be willing to participate in community outreach?
Who are we? The Brookelyn Elias Promise is a local 501c3 started after the loss of our daughter, Brookelyn, on July 18, 2014. She loved soccer. Brookelyn played soccer locally for over 6 years. As her family, we have chosen to give back to the local community through soccer scholarships, educational scholarships, and soccer gear drives.
In June 2016, Brookelyn’s family and church family traveled to Mirebalais, Haiti to the Grace So Amazing campus. The local
orphanage, school, and community was furnished with over 500 pounds of soccer gear from drives like this one.
Soccer gear was sent to a boys orphanage in LesCayes, Haiti in Sept. 2016. The eye of Hurricane Matthew hit 20 miles from the
orphanage during the mission trip.
The jerseys became shirts. The cleats became shoes. Donations became a necessary blessing.
Past partnerships include: Soccer gear was sent to orphanages in Haiti, Ethiopia, & Cuba. Hurricane relief was in the form of new generators to Teen Challenge, Puerto Rico.
Locally, we have supported Caleb’s Closet (a free clothing pantry) & Special Olympics West Michigan.
Present partners include: Schools of Hope (a reading/tutoring program for students that are below grade level readers in GRPS) and Grand Rapids
Public Schools
2nd-8th grade youth soccer programs. In 2021, we gave away over 100 pairs of soccer cleats, hundreds of soccer socks, and jerseys.
Our dream: We want to come alongside and support GRPS students with cleats, a ball, shin guards, shorts, and socks providing equitable access to soccer gear to all students. Don’t underestimate the power and encouragement that a ball and a pair of cleats can provide.
We will take cleats, jerseys, balls, shin guards, socks, and anything soccer.
We are in desperate need of all sized shin guards & cleats.
